Neutral Safety Switch: Description and Operation

Ignition Start And Park Neutral Switch Circuit:

PURPOSE
The Neutral Park Position (Inhibitor) switch, detects whether the transmission is positioned in park or neutral. The ECU monitors the automatic transmission load and operates the Idle Air Control (IAC) Motor to maintain optimum idle speed.

Located on the transaxle.
