[3] -- Connect jumper wire between ignition timing adjustment connector & ground.
[4] -- Firing order 1-3-4-2. Before disconnecting wires from distributor cap or coil unit, determine location of ignition wires, as position may have been altered from that shown.
[6] -- Disconnect fuel pump electrical connector, located at fuel tank. Start engine & operate until it stalls. Disconnect battery ground cable, then reconnect fuel pump electrical connector. Place shop towels around fuel high pressure hose at fuel delivery pipe side, then disconnect hose. Install suitable fuel pressure gauge between fuel delivery pipe & high pressure hose. Disconnect & plug vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator.
[7] -- When adjusting idle speed, set parking brake & chock drive wheels.
[9] -- Equipped w/hydraulic lash adjusters.
