Crankshaft Gear/Sprocket: Description and Operation

GENERAL INFORMATION
A sintered iron timing belt sprocket is mounted on the crankshaft nose. This sprocket transmits crankshaft movement, via timing belt to the camshaft sprocket providing timed valve actuation.

BOLT ACCESS PLUG
An Access plug is located in the right inner fender shield. Remove the plug and insert the proper size socket, extension and ratchet, when crankshaft rotation is necessary.
