Inoperative Mode Door or HVAC Mode Door Stall Tests

NAME OF CODE
HVAC Mode Door Stalled

WHEN MONITORED
With the ignition key on and battery voltage greater than 10 volts.

SET CONDITION
The mode door fails to indicate a stall condition during motor calibration or during failed feedback calibration.

THEORY OF OPERATION
A stall is determined when the feedback is unchanged with the mode motor "ON".


POSSIBLE CAUSES
- Broken motor linkage or broken mode door
- Disconnected motor
- Open wire
- Open ground at motor
