Driver Squib Circuit Shorted

NAME OF CODE
Front Sensor Circuit Short

NOTE The code becomes active as soon as the malfunction is detected and becomes stored when the ignition is switched off.

WHEN MONITORED
Continuously with the ignition on.

SET CONDITION
The voltage on one of the impact circuit(s) is other than expected.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
- One of the front sensors is shorted
- Driver airbag line 1 or 2 is shorted to battery or ground
- Passenger airbag line 1 or 2 is shorted to battery or ground
- One of the front sensor lines (left or right sensor) is shorted to battery or ground
- Any combination of front sensor lines shorted together Any combination of front sensor shorted to any airbag line
- Faulty airbag control module
- Faulty clockspring
