Front

The wheel bearing used on the front of this vehicle is a unit type combined hub/bearing assembly. This hub/bearing assembly combines the front wheel mounting hub (flange) and the front wheel bearing into a one piece unit. The hub/bearing is mounted to the steering knuckle and is retained by four mounting bolts accessible from the back of the steering knuckle. The bearing used in the hub/bearing unit is not serviceable as a separate component of the hub/bearing assembly. If it is determined that the bearing is defective it will require the replacement of the entire hub/bearing assembly. The wheel mounting studs are the only replaceable component of the hub/bearing assembly.

The front hub/bearing assembly is held together using a clamp bolt/nut which is torqued and crimped in place. The clamp bolt is not serviceable and no attempt should EVER be made to remove it from the hub/bearing.
