If damaged, the lower control arm is serviced only as a complete assembly. The lower control arm assembly will include the following components: the control arm isolator bushings, push rod isolator bushing, lower ball joint and ball joint grease seal. Inspect the lower control arm for signs of damage from contact with the ground and/or road debris. If a lower control arm shows any sign of damage, inspect the lower control arm for bending or any other type of distortion. Do not attempt to repair or straighten a broken or bent lower control arm.The only replaceable component of the lower control arm is the push rod bushing. Inspect both control arm isolator bushings for severe deterioration. If the lower control arm isolator bushings are deteriorated or damaged, replacement of the lower control arm is required. Inspect the lower ball joint. If the ball joint or ball joint seal boot is found to be defective it will require the replacement of the lower control arm. Inspect the push rod bushing for deterioration and replace if required.
