Rear Knuckle: Testing and Inspection

The rear suspension knuckle is not a repairable component of the rear suspension. IT MUST BE REPLACED IF FOUND TO BE DAMAGED IN ANY WAY. If it is determined that the knuckle is damaged or bent when servicing the vehicle, no attempt is to be made to repair or straighten the knuckle.

Also, carefully inspect the knuckle for any evidence of cracking. If there is any evidence of a crack in the knuckle, do not attempt to repair the crack by welding or any other method. The knuckle must be replaced.
