Removal

NOTE: Do not remove the stabilizer bar without removing the front fascia from the vehicle. If removal is attempted with the fascia installed on the vehicle damage to the fascia can occur.





1. Remove the grill from the vehicle. Refer to illustration for the grill attachment fastener locations.





2. Remove the headlamp modules from the vehicle. Remove the headlamp modules using the following procedure. Remove the 2 screws mounting the headlamp module to the front structure. Remove the plastic cap-nut on the underside of the front structure mounting the front of the headlamp module to the front structure. Remove the headlamp module from the front structure and disconnect the headlamp module wiring harness from the vehicle wiring harness.
3. Correctly position the vehicle on a frame contact type hoist.











4. Remove the front fascia. The fascia is to be removed using the following procedure. Raise the vehicle. Remove the 2 screws mounting the fascia lower bracket to the front structure. Unclip the fascia from the front valance panel. Refer to illustration for the retaining clip locations. Lower vehicle. Remove the 6 screws attaching the fascia to the front structure. Carefully remove the fascia from the vehicle.
5. Lower the vehicle until the front tires are supporting the weight of the vehicle.





6. Remove the nuts from both bolts, attaching the stabilizer bar attaching links to the rocker arms.

NOTE: When removing the stabilizer bar attaching link to rocker arm bolts it may be necessary to raise or lower the vehicle slightly. This will take the weight off the bolts making them easier to remove if the bolts are binding in the rocker arms.

7. Remove both stabilizer bar attaching link to rocker arm attaching bolts.
8. Raise the vehicle.





9. Remove the bolt and flag nut attaching the stabilizer bar bushing retainers to the frame. Remove the bushing retainers from the frame.
10. Remove the stabilizer bar and the attaching links as an assembly from the vehicle.
