Trailing Arm: Testing and Inspection

Inspect the trailing link isolator bushings for signs of deterioration or damage. If the trailing link bushings are deteriorated or damaged, replacement of the trailing link bushings will be required.

Neither of the trailing link isolator bushings is serviceable as separate components. The trailing link to frame attachment isolator bushing is serviced as part of the trailing link. The trailing link to rear knuckle attachment isolator bushing is service as part of the rear knuckle.

Inspect the trailing link for signs of contact with the ground or road debris which has bent or caused other damage to the trailing link. If the trailing link is bent or damaged the trailing link will require replacement. Do not ever attempt to repair or straighten a trailing link.
