Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect cooling fan motor electrical connector.
2. Remove transmission oil cooler hoses from cooler.

NOTE: To remove cooler lines from transmission, Special Tool 8193, or equivalent is required to release cooler lines from transmission.

3. Remove cooler attaching nuts to frame and remove transmission oil cooling module.
4. Remove bolts attaching oil cooler to support bracket.

INSTALLATION
1. Attach oil cooler to support bracket and tighten bolts to 11 Nm (95 inch lbs.).
2. Install oil cooler to frame and tighten nuts to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.).
3. Attach transmission cooler hoses to cooler and tighten hose clamps to 2 Nm (18 inch lbs.).

CAUTION: If cooler lines were removed from transmission, make sure a "snap" is heard upon installation and then push/pull on line to make sure line is secured.

4. Connect cooling fan motor electrical connector.
5. Check and adjust transmission fluid level.
