Front Bumper Fascia Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Apply tape to the corners of the adjacent surfaces.
2. Remove the headlamps.




3. Remove the push-in retainers from the front bumper fascia upper support.
4. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
5. Remove the air dam.
6. Disconnect the fog lamps electrical connectors, if equipped.




7. Remove the push-in retainers and screws from the fender liner to the fascia on the left and the right side.




8. Remove the bolt from the front bumper fascia to the front fender on the left and the right side, through the access hole in the wheel liner.




9. Remove the front bumper fascia.
With the aid of an assistant pull both sides of the fascia outward to release the retainers from the front fascia support.
10. If replacing the front fascia, transfer the following parts:

* The front fascia upper grille-Refer to Front Bumper Upper Fascia Grille Replacement.
* The front fascia lower grille-Refer to Front Bumper Lower Fascia Grille Replacement.
* The fog lamp, if equipped-Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement.
* The licence plate and bracket-Refer to Front License Plate Bracket Replacement.
* The front energy absorber-Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement.

Installation Procedure

1. If replacing the front fascia, transfer the following parts:

* The front energy absorber-Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Energy Absorber Replacement.
* The licence plate and bracket-Refer to Front License Plate Bracket Replacement.
* The fog lamp, if equipped-Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement.
* The front fascia lower grille-Refer to Front Bumper Lower Fascia Grille Replacement.
* The front fascia upper grille-Refer to Front Bumper Upper Fascia Grille Replacement.




2. Install the front bumper fascia to the vehicle, with the aid of an assistant engaged to the front of the fenders.






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the bolts to the front bumper fascia to the front fender on the left and the right side, through the access hole in the wheel liner.

Tighten the bolts to 8 N.m (71 lb in).




4. Install the push-in retainers and screws to the front bumper fascia to the front fender liner on the left and the right side.




5. Install the push-in retainers to the front bumper fascia to front bumper fascia upper support.
6. Install the headlamps.
7. Connect the fog lamps electrical connectors, if equipped.
8. Lower the vehicle.
9. Remove the protective tape.
