Power Steering Reservoir Inlet Pipe/Hose Replacement (LY7, PS Gear Outlet Pipe to Reservoir)
Removal Procedure
1. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) from the power steering fluid reservoir (3).
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the RH front tire and wheel assembly.
4. Remove the power steering fluid reservoir pipe/hose routing nut.
5. Compress the clamp (1) and disconnect the power steering gear outlet pipe/hose (2) from the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose (3).
6. Remove the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose to the vehicle.
Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering gear outlet pipe/hose (2) to the power steering reservoir inlet pipe/hose (3).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
2. Install the power steering fluid reservoir pipe/hose routing nut.
Tighten the power steering fluid reservoir pipe/hose routing nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Install the RH front tire and wheel assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Compress the clamp (1) and connect the power steering reservoir inlet hose (2) to the power steering fluid reservoir (3).
6. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding.
