Power Steering Reservoir Outlet Pipe/Hose Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Place a drain pan under the vehicle in order to catch any power steering fluid.
2. Loosen the hose clamp (4) that retains the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice.
3. Remove the reservoir outlet hose from the pump.
4. Loosen the hose clamp (2) that retains the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering fluid reservoir.
5. Remove the reservoir outlet hose from the reservoir.
Installation Procedure
Notice: Refer to Installing Hoses without Twists or Bends Notice.
1. Install the reservoir outlet hose (3) to the power steering fluid reservoir.
2. Install the hose clamp (2) in order to retain the hose to the reservoir.
3. Install the reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump.
4. Install the hose clamp (4) in order to retain the hose to the pump.
Notice: Refer to Using Proper Power Steering Fluid Notice.
5. Fill the power steering fluid reservoir. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.
Notice: Refer to Air in the Power Steering System Notice.
6. Bleed the power steering system.
