Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Rear

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
2. Remove the right rear seat.
3. Remove the right rear seat hinge.
4. Remove the right rear door sill trim.
5. Remove the right rear seat garnish trim.
6. Remove the rear storage compartment.
7. Remove the rear compartment access panel.
8. Remove tool storage access panel.
9. Remove tool storage tray.
10. Remove child tether upper anchor brackets.
11. Remove the right lower quarter trim panel.




12. Remove the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt trim cover (1).
13. Remove the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt (8).
14. Remove the shoulder belt guide (7).
15. Remove the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt (5).
16. Remove the rear seat belt retractor upper mounting bolt (3).
17. Remove the rear seat belt retractor lower mounting bolt (4).
18. Remove the rear seat belt retractor assembly (2).

Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

1. Install the rear seat belt retractor (2) to the vehicle. Secure the retractor with the upper mounting bolt (3) and the lower mounting bolt (4).

* Tighten the rear seat belt retractor upper mounting bolt to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
* Tighten the rear seat belt retractor lower mounting bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

2. Install the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt (5).

Tighten the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

3. Install the shoulder belt guide (7). Secure with bolt (8).

Tighten the seat belt upper anchor bolt to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).

4. Install the rear seat belt upper anchor bolt trim cover (1).
5. Install the right lower quarter trim panel.
6. Install the child tether upper anchor brackets
7. Install the tool storage compartment tray.
8. Install the tool storage access panel.
9. Install the rear compartment access panel.
10. Install the rear storage compartment.
11. Install the right rear seat garnish trim.
12. Install the right rear door sill trim.
13. Install the right rear seat hinge.
14. Install the right rear seat.
15. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling.
