Rear Compartment Lid Latch Striker Replacement

Removal Procedure


Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.


1. Support the rear compartment lid with a suitable brace.




2. Remove the rear compartment lid latch striker to rear compartment lid retaining torx screws (1).
3. Remove the rear compartment lid latch striker (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the rear compartment lid latch striker (2) to the rear compartment lid.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the rear compartment lid latch striker to rear compartment lid retaining torx screws (1).

Tighten the torx screws to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Remove the suitable brace from the vehicle.
