Engine Cover Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the cross car brace, if fitted. Refer to Front End Panel Module Carrier Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair) .
Important: The right hand engine cover has only one outer retaining clip (2) at the front. The left hand engine cover has one front and one rear outer retaining clip.
Important: Grasp and pry the engine covers (1) upwards to detach the engine covers (1) from the outer retaining clips (2).
2. Detach the engine covers (1) from the outer retaining clips (2).
Important: Disengage the engine covers (1) from the ball studs (2) by pulling up firmly on the rear and front of the engine covers (1).
3. Detach the engine covers (1) from the ball studs (2).
4. Remove the engine covers (1).
Installation Procedure
1. Position the engine covers (1) over the intake manifold so the grommets are aligned with the ball studs (2).
Important: Press the engine covers (1) down firmly near the ball studs to attach the engine covers (1) to the ball studs (2).
2. Attach the engine covers (1) to the ball studs (2).

Important: Press the engine covers (1) down firmly near the outer retaining clips to attach the engine covers (1) to the outer retaining clips (2).
3. Attach the engine covers (1) to the outer retaining clips (2).
4. Install the cross car brace, if fitted. Refer to Front End Panel Module Carrier Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair)
