Engine Mount Replacement - Left Side
Removal Procedure
Tools Required
EN 46114 Engine Lift Brackets.
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the engine mount to front subframe retaining nuts (1).
4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Position the EN 46114 (2) on the engine (1).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
6. Install the EN 46114 to cylinder head retaining bolts (3).
Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (36 lb ft).
Important: When lifting the engine assembly, observe the clearance between the rear of the engine assembly and the dash panel.
7. Use a suitable engine lifting tool to raise the engine until the weight of the engine is removed from the left hand engine mount.
8. Remove the left hand engine mount to engine mount bracket retaining nut (2).
Important: If required raise the engine further to provide adequate space.
Important: When lifting the engine assembly, observe the clearance between the rear of the engine assembly and the dash panel.
Important: DO NOT distort or bend the left hand engine mount heat shield (3).
9. Remove the left hand engine mount (4) from the left hand engine mount bracket (1).
Installation Procedure
Important: DO NOT distort or bend the left hand engine mount heat shield (3).
1. Position the left hand engine mount (4) on the left hand engine mount bracket (1).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
2. Install the left hand engine mount to engine mount bracket retaining nut (2).
Tighten the nut to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
3. Lower the engine until the weight is resting on the left hand engine mount.
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
4. Raise the vehicle.
5. Install the engine mount to front subframe retaining nuts (1).
Tighten the nuts to 80 N.m (59 lb ft).
7. Install the engine splash shield. Refer to Engine Splash Shield Replacement (Service and Repair) .
8. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
9. Remove the EN 46114 to cylinder head retaining bolts (3).
10. Remove the EN 46114 (2) from the engine (1).
