Timing Chain Idler Sprocket Installation - Left Side





1. Make sure that the left camshaft intermediate drive chain idler (1) is being installed. The recessed hub (2) and the larger sprocket of the left camshaft intermediate drive chain idler is installed outward. The raised hub and the smaller sprocket of the left camshaft intermediate drive chain idler is installed towards the cylinder block.




2. Install the left camshaft intermediate drive chain idler (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the camshaft intermediate drive chain idler to cylinder block retaining bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).
