133. Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation


Important: Follow the procedure sequence in order to prevent drive belt mis-alignment and/or possible damage/distortion to the components.






1. Install the A/C compressor bracket (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the A/C compressor bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the bolt to 58 Nm (42 lb ft).

3. If you are replacing the compressor, balance the compressor oil. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Oil Balancing (Service and Repair) .




4. Install the A/C compressor (2).
5. Install the A/C compressor to A/C compressor bracket retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the nuts to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).
