134. Generator Installation

Generator Installation





1. Install the alternator bracket (2) to the engine block.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the alternator bracket to engine block retaining bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 50 Nm (37 lb ft).

3. Install the coolant inlet pipe to alternator mounting bracket retaining nut (3).

Tighten the bolts to 22 Nm (16 lb ft).





4. Position the alternator (3) on the alternator mounting bracket (4).

Important: The alternator mounting studs (4) have hexagonal outer ends to assist with removal and installation.


5. Install the alternator to alternator bracket retaining studs (1) if required.

Tighten the studs to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).

6. Install the alternator to alternator bracket stud retaining nuts (2).

Tighten the nuts to 18 Nm (13 lb ft).
