Intake Manifold Assemble

Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





1. Install the fuel injector rail (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the fuel injector rail to lower intake manifold retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the fuel injector rail bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).





3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness (1).



Upper Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure





1. Install the engine cover ball studs (1).

Tighten the engine cover ball studs to 7 Nm (62 lb in).





2. Install the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) flap (1).
3. Install the IMRC flap to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (2).

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).





4. Install the NEW throttle body gasket (3) to the intake manifold (4).
5. Install the throttle body (2).
6. Install the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb in).




Upper to Lower Intake Manifold Assemble Procedure






Important: DO NOT reuse the upper-to-lower intake manifold gasket and the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.


1. Install the NEW upper-to-lower intake manifold gaskets (1).




2. Install the upper intake manifold (1) to the lower intake manifold (2).




3. Install the fuel injector wiring harness bracket to upper intake manifold retaining bolt (1).

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb in).





4. Install the upper-to-lower intake manifold retaining bolts (1).

Tighten bolts to 23 Nm (17 lb ft).
