Throttle Body Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Turn the ignition OFF.
2. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair) .




3. Remove the throttle body electrical connector (1) from the throttle body.




4. Remove the the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1)
5. Remove the throttle body and gasket from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Carefully clean the throttle body mounting surfaces of any gasket and/or sealing material.




2. Install the throttle body and NEW gasket to the vehicle

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the throttle body bolts to upper intake manifold retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





4. Install the throttle body electrical connector (1) to the throttle body.
5. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Inlet Duct Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Perform the throttle learn procedure. Refer to Throttle Learn (Programming and Relearning)
7. Use the scan tool to clear all DTCs.
