Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement

Removal Procedure


Important: DO NOT attempt to repair or alter the child seat anchor assembly. If the child seat anchor assembly is damaged, replace the entire assembly. Altering the child seat anchor assembly could result in personal injury.






1. Using a suitable tool open the child seat anchor assembly cap (1). Remove the child seat anchor assembly to body retaining bolt (2) from the child seat anchor assembly that is being serviced.




2. Remove the child seat anchor assembly (1) that is being serviced from the rear window shelf.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the child seat anchor assembly to the rear window shelf.





Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice (Component Fastener Tightening Notice) .


Important: Ensure child restraint assembly is installed as per illustration, failure to adhere to this installation will result in incorrect operation of the child restraint assembly.



Important: Ensure that the anchor fitting is parallel to the vehicle centerline.


2. Install the child seat anchor assembly to body retaining bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 20 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Close the child seat anchor assembly cap (1).
