Stabilizer Shaft Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
2. Disconnect the stabiliser bar links from the stabiliser bar. Refer toStabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Front Suspension) .
3. Remove the stabiliser bar insulators. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement (Front Suspension) .




Non Registered Caution: Refer To PSD SIE TITLE Error: SIE linked to empty Cell ID 120919 The stabiliser bar must be supported while being removed. Failure to comply with this requirement may lead to personal injury.
4. Remove the stabiliser bar (1) from the vehicle.
5. Inspect all parts for wear and damage.



Installation Procedure






Non Registered Notice: Refer To PSD SIE TITLE Error: SIE linked to empty Cell ID 120919 If installing a replacement stabiliser bar, check that the stabiliser bar is the correct type for the suspension system fitted to the vehicle. Identification of the stabiliser bar fitted to a particular vehicle can be achieved by cross-referencing the two digit code provided on the production identification tag with the data in Rear Stabiliser Bar Specifications in Fastener Tightening Specifications in Rear Suspension. Fitting the wrong stabiliser bar may adversely affect the ride and handling characteristics of the vehicle.

1. Install the stabiliser bar (1) to the vehicle.
2. Install the stabiliser bar insulators and brackets. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement (Front Suspension) .
3. Install the stabiliser bar links to the stabiliser bar. Refer to Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement (Front Suspension) .
4. Remove the safety stands.
5. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
