Stabilizer Shaft Insulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .




Non Registered Caution: Refer ToPSD SIE TITLE Error: SIE linked to empty Cell ID 120919
Caution: The stabiliser bar must be supported while being removed. Failure to comply with this requirement may lead to personal injury.
2. Remove the stabiliser bar insulator bracket to subframe retaining bolts (4) on both sides of the stabiliser bar (1).
3. Remove the stabiliser bar insulator bracket (3) from the subframe on both sides of the stabiliser bar (1).
4. Remove the stabiliser bar insulator (2) from both sides of the stabiliser bar (1).
5. Inspect all parts for wear and damage.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the stabiliser bar insulator (2) to both sides of the stabiliser bar (1).
2. Install the stabiliser bar insulator bracket (3) to the subframe on both sides of the stabiliser bar (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the stabiliser bar insulator bracket to subframe retaining bolts (4) on both sides of the stabiliser bar (1).

Tighten the bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).

4. Remove the safety stands.
5. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
