Hood Front Seal Replacement

Removal Procedure


Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.


1. Install a suitable hood brace to the vehicle.




Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
2. Using a suitable tool, carefully work the hood front seal (1) off the hood from side to side.
3. Remove the hood front seal (1) from the hood.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the hood front seal (1) to the hood.
2. Install the push-in retainers to secure the hood front seal (1) to the hood.
3. Remove the suitable hood brace from the vehicle.
