Front Floor Console Front Ashtray Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Important: Apply the park brake and move the transmission control lever to the D position.


2. Remove the storage compartment to centre console retaining screws (1).
3. Remove the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement (Service and Repair) .




4. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connector (1).




5. Pull the storage compartment (1) rearward to detach the storage compartment to instrument panel (I/P) centre trim panel retaining clips (2).
6. Remove the storage compartment (1) from the I/P centre trim panel (3).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the storage compartment (1) to the I/P centre trim panel (3).
2. Ensure the storage compartment to I/P centre trim panel retaining clips (2) are located correctly.




3. Connect the cigar lighter electrical connector (1).
4. Install the instrument panel extension. Refer to Instrument Panel Extension Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

5. Install the storage compartment to centre console retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the trim plate. Refer to Console Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair) .
