Rear Seat Back Latch Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement) .
2. Remove the rear split folding seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement) .
3. Remove the rear split folding seat back cushion cover and pad. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement) .





Important: Take care when removing the rear forward folding seat latch assembly from the rear forward folding seat back to avoid damage to the locking button (2).


4. Remove the rear forward folding seat back latch to seat back tray retaining screws (1).
5. Carefully guide the rear forward folding seat latch assembly linkage (5) out of the release button (2) cavity.
6. Remove the rear forward folding seat latch assembly (3) from the rear forward folding seat back (4).



Installation Procedure






Important: Take care when installing the seat latch assembly linkage (5) not to damage the release button (2)


1. Guide the rear forward folding seat latch assembly linkage (5) into the cavity of the release button (2).
2. Install the rear forward folding seat latch assembly (3) to the rear forward folding seat back (4).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

3. Install the rear forward folding seat back latch to seat back tray retaining screws (1).

Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

4. Install the rear split folding seat back cushion cover and pad. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement) .
5. Install the rear split folding seat back. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement) .
6. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement) .
