Engine Coolant Fan Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the cooling fan and shroud assembly. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (Service and Repair) .





Important: Armature shaft and nut is left hand thread.


2. Remove the cooling fans (2) retaining nuts (3).
3. Remove the cooling fans (2) from the cooling fan motor (1).



Installation Procedure






Important: When installing the cooling fans, ensure they are install as per removal.


1. Install the cooling fans (2) to the cooling fan motor (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the cooling fan (2) to fan motor retaining nut (3).

Tighten the nut to 6.0 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install the cooling fan and shroud assembly. Refer to Cooling Fan and Shroud Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Start and run engine until cooling fans are activated.
