Crankshaft Balancer Replacement
Tools Required
* J 41816-A Crankshaft Balancer Remover
* J 41816-2 Crankshaft End Protector
* J 42386-A Flywheel Holding Tool
* J 41665 Crankshaft Balancer and Sprocket Installer
Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory) .
4. Remove the air conditioning (A/C) drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement (Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement) .
5. Remove the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (3.6L Engine) (Starter Motor Replacement (3.6L Engine))Starter Motor Replacement (6.0L Engine) (Starter Motor Replacement (6.0L Engine)) .
6. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Removal (Overhaul) .
Installation Procedure
1. Install the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Installation (Overhaul) .
2. Install the starter motor. Refer to Starter Motor Replacement (3.6L Engine) (Starter Motor Replacement (3.6L Engine))Starter Motor Replacement (6.0L Engine) (Starter Motor Replacement (6.0L Engine)) .
3. Install the air conditioning (A/C) drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement (Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement) .
4. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory) .
5. Install the radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Connect the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .
