50. Oil Pump Assemble

Oil Pump Assemble






Important: Prior to assembling the oil pump, coat all wear or internal surfaces with clean engine oil.



Important: Install the driven gear with the orientation mark facing the pump cover.


1. Install the driven gear (2).
2. Install the drive gear (1).




3. Install the oil pump cover (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

4. Install the oil pump cover to oil pump housing retaining bolts (3).

Tighten the bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).





5. Install the pressure relief valve (3).
6. Install the pressure relief valve spring (2).
7. Install the pressure relief valve plug (1).

Tighten the plug to 14 N.m (124 lb in).

8. Inspect the oil pump components. Refer to Oil Pump Cleaning and Inspection (Overhaul) .
9. Inspect the oil pump for smooth operation by rotating the drive gear.
