Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Replacement (3.6L Engine)

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
1. Remove the compressor. Refer toAir Conditioning Compressor Replacement (3.6L Engine) (Service and Repair)Air Conditioning Compressor Replacement (6.0L Engine) (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the compressor drive belt idler pulley to compressor mounting bracket retaining bolt (2).
3. Remove the compressor drive belt idler pulley (1).




4. Remove the compressor mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).
5. Remove the compressor mounting bracket (2) from the cylinder block (3).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the compressor mounting bracket (2) to the cylinder block (3).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the compressor mounting bracket to cylinder block retaining bolts (1).

Tighten the bolts to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).





3. Install the compressor drive belt idler pulley (1).
4. Install the compressor drive belt idler pulley to compressor mounting bracket retaining bolt (2).

Tighten the bolt to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).
