Fuel Hose/Pipes Replacement - Engine Compartment

Removal Procedure


Notice: Clean all of the following areas before performing any disconnections in order to avoid possible contamination in the system:

* The fuel pipe connections
* The hose connections
* The areas surrounding the connections


1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief (Fuel Pressure Relief) .
3. Loosen the fuel filler cap to relieve any vapour pressure.
4. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .




5. Disconnect the engine compartment fuel feed pipe (1) at the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .




6. Disconnect the fuel feed pipe (1) from the fuel feed line. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .
7. Cap the fuel pipe to prevent possible fuel system contamination.



Installation Procedure





1. Connect the fuel feed pipe (1) from the fuel feed line. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .




2. Install the engine compartment fuel feed pipe (1) at the fuel rail. Refer to Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Metal Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service) .
3. Install the fuel filler cap.
4. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Service and Repair) .

1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
2. Turn OFF the ignition for 2 seconds.
3. Turn ON the ignition.
4. Inspect for fuel leaks.

5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair) .
