Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Caution (Safety Glasses Warning) .
Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution (Service Precautions) .
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair) .
Important: Nuts with micro-encapsulated thread sealant must be discarded after removal.
2. Remove the stabiliser bar link to stabiliser bar retaining nut (1).
Discard the nut.
3. Disconnect the stabiliser bar link (3) from the stabiliser bar (2).
4. Remove and the stabiliser bar link to lower control arm retaining nut (5).
Discard the nut.
5. Remove the stabiliser bar link (3) from the lower control arm (4).
6. Remove the stabiliser bar link (3).
7. Inspect all parts for wear and damage.
Installation Procedure
1. Connect the stabiliser bar link (3) to the stabiliser bar (2).
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
2. Install the stabiliser bar link to stabiliser bar NEW retaining nut (1).
Tighten the nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
3. Install the stabiliser bar link (3) to the lower control arm (4).
4. Install the stabiliser bar link to lower control arm retaining NEW nut (5).
Tighten the nut to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
5. Remove the safety stands.
6. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
