Rear Side Door Check Link Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear side door trim. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Pull back the water deflector to gain clearance to remove the rear door check link from the door.
3. Remove the following components from the vehicle:

* The rear door check link to door jamb bolt (3)
* The 2 bolts (2) which secure the check link to the rear door
* The check link (1) through inner door panel access hole




Installation Procedure






Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

1. Install the check link (1) through the inner door panel access hole. Secure the check link with the 2 bolts (2).

Tighten the check link bolts to 5.5 N.m (49 lb in).

2. Install the rear door check link to door jamb bolt (3).

Tighten the check link to door jamb bolt to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

3. Reposition the water deflector back to it original position.
4. Install the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
