Front Floor Console Trim Plate Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the manual transmission shift knob, if equipped.
2. Remove the center A/C control knob (3).
3. Remove the screw (1).
4. Using a taped flat-bladed tool, gently pry and release the retaining clips which secure the front floor console trim plate (2) to the front floor console assembly.
5. Disconnect the following components:

* The 2 cigar lighter electrical connectors
* The accessory power receptacle electrical connectors

6. Remove the cigar lighter assembly, if necessary. Refer to Cigarette Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the accessory power receptacle, if necessary. Refer to 115-Volt AC Instrument Panel Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement (115-Volt AC Instrument Panel Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the accessory power receptacle, if removed. Refer to 115-Volt AC Instrument Panel Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement (115-Volt AC Instrument Panel Accessory Power Receptacle Replacement).
2. Install the cigar lighter assembly, if removed. Refer to Cigarette Lighter Housing Replacement - Floor Console (Service and Repair).
3. Connect the following components:

* The 2 cigar lighter electrical connectors
* The accessory power receptacle electrical connectors

4. Install the front floor console trim plate (2) to the front floor console assembly. Ensure that the retaining clips are fully engaged.
5. Install the center screw (1).
6. Install the center A/C control knob (3).
7. Install the manual transmission shift knob, if equipped.
