Rear Split Folding Seat Back Cushion Cover and Pad Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear seat head restraint (1). Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement).
2. Remove the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement).
3. Remove rear seat latch knob (11) and retainer (10).




4. Remove the plastic retainers which secure the seat back cushion cover (1) to the back of the seat.




5. Cut and remove the hog rings around the perimeter of the back of the rear seat back cushion (1).




6. Remove the rear seat back cushion cover (6) from the cushion (5).
7. Remove the seat back latch (8), if necessary. Refer to Rear Seat Back Release Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Remove the rear seat back cushion pad (5) from the frame (4), if necessary.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear seat back cushion pad (5) to the frame (4), if removed.
2. Install the rear seat back latch (8), if removed. Refer to Rear Seat Back Release Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Install the rear seat back cushion cover (6) to the seat back cushion (5).
4. Install the seat latch retainer (10) and knob (11).




5. Use hog ring pliers (1) to install new hog rings. Ensure that the rear seat back cushion cover is secured to the cushion (2).
6. Install the plastic retainers which secure the seat back cushion cover to the back of the seat.




7. Install the rear seat back cushion. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement).
8. Install the rear seat head restraint (1). Refer to Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement (Rear Seat Head Restraint Replacement).
