Oil Pump: Service and Repair



Oil Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the timing chain. Refer to Timing Chain and Sprocket Replacement (Timing Chain and Sprocket Replacement).




2. Remove the 5 oil pump bolts.
3. Remove the oil pump.
4. Remove the oil pump gasket.



Installation Procedure






Important: Engage the ridges of the oil pump drive rotor with the flat sections of the crankshaft.


1. Install the oil pump. Use a new oil pump gasket.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).


2. Use the 5 oil pump bolts in order to secure the oil pump.

Tighten the oil pump bolts to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

3. Install the timing chain. Refer to Timing Chain and Sprocket Replacement (Timing Chain and Sprocket Replacement).
