Stabilizer Shaft Link Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service Intervals).
2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
3. Use a 6 mm wrench in order to hold the stabilizer shaft link upper stud. Remove the nut from the stud in order to separate the link (3) from the strut bracket.
4. Use a 6 mm wrench in order to hold the stabilizer shaft link lower stud. Remove the nut from the stud in order to separate the link from the stabilizer shaft.
Installation Procedure
1. Use a 6 mm wrench in order to hold the stabilizer shaft link upper stud. Install the nut and the stud to the bracket (1) on the strut.
Tighten the nut to 74 N.m (54.6 lb ft).
2. Use a 6 mm wrench in order to hold the stabilizer shaft link lower stud. Install the nut and the stud to the stabilizer shaft.
Tighten the nut to 74 N.m (54.6 lb ft).
3. Install the front tire and wheel assembly to the vehicle. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
4. Lower the vehicle.
