Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the upper rear garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the seat belt anchors from the floor. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Convertible) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Convertible))Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Coupe) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Coupe))Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Sedan) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Sedan)).
4. Remove the bolts from the rear seat back upper crossmember.




5. Remove the shelf trim panel retainers.
6. Remove the shelf trim panel.

Installation Procedure




1. Feed the seat belts through the openings in the shelf trim panel.
2. Install the shelf trim panel.




3. Install the shelf trim panel retainers.
4. Install the rear seat back upper crossmember bolts.
5. Install the seat belt anchors. Refer to Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Convertible) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Convertible))Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Coupe) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Coupe))Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Sedan) (Rear Seat Belt Retractor Replacement (Sedan)).
6. Install the upper rear garnish molding. Refer to Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Coupe) (Service and Repair)Body Rear Corner Upper Garnish Molding Replacement (Sedan) (Service and Repair).
7. Enable the roof rail SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair).
