Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Canister/Fuel Tank

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) vapor line quick connect fittings from the fuel sender. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
3. Disconnect the EVAP vapor line quick connect fitting at the EVAP canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
4. Cap or plug the EVAP connections and the fuel sender and canister in order to prevent system contamination.
5. Remove the EVAP vapor line from the fuel tank.

Installation Procedure




1. Remove the EVAP vapor line from the fuel tank.
2. Remove the caps or plugs from the EVAP vapor line connections.
3. Connect the EVAP vapor line quick connect fittings at the fuel sender. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
4. Connect the EVAP vapor line quick connect fitting at the EVAP canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service (Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service).
5. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement (Service and Repair).
