Mode Valve Actuator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).
2. Remove the left closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).




4. Remove the mode actuator retaining screws.
5. Remove the mode actuator.
6. Disconnect the mode actuator electrical connector.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the mode actuator.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the mode actuator retaining screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).

3. Connect the mode actuator electrical connector.
4. Install the knee bolster. Refer to Knee Bolster Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the left closeout panel. Refer to Instrument Panel Insulator Panel Replacement - Left Side (Service and Repair).
6. Install the fuse labeled HVAC CTRL (BATT).
