Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement

Removal Procedure

Important: When a suitable hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.


1. Support the rear compartment lid with a suitable brace.




2. Pull the rear compartment weatherstrip (2) from the rear compartment pinch-weld flange (1) on the body.
3. Remove the rear compartment weatherstrip (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the rear compartment weatherstrip (2) over the top of the rear compartment pinch-weld flange (1).
2. Press the rear compartment weatherstrip (2) down onto the rear compartment pinch-weld flange (1).
3. Make sure that the rear compartment weatherstrip (2) is secured properly to the entire pinch-weld flange (1).
4. Remove the suitable brace from the vehicle.
