Front Bumper Lower Fascia Grille Replacement
Removal Procedure
Danger: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
Caution: Refer to Safety Glasses Warning (Safety Glasses Warning).
Note: Care must be taken to apply force evenly when disengaging the lower grille retaining tabs.
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the front wheel house liners. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement).
4. Remove the front fog lamp. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
5. Evenly apply pressure to the rear side of each of the lower grille retaining tabs (1), disengaging the lower grille (2) from the front bumper fascia (3).
Installation Procedure
Note: Care must be taken to make sure the lower grille retaining tabs (2) are aligned correctly when installed into the front bumper fascia (3).
Note: An audible "click" will be heard when the lower grille retaining tabs (2) are correctly engaged.
1. Install the lower grille (1) into the front bumper fascia (3), engaging the lower grille retaining tabs (2).
2. Install the front fog lamp. Refer to Front Fog Lamp Replacement (Removal and Replacement).
3. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Front Bumper Fascia Replacement (Front Bumper Fascia Replacement).
4. Install the front wheel house liners. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Service and Repair).
