Center Console End Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure - Up to 17 Sept 2007





Note: From inside the front floor console compartment carefully lift upwards with a small flat blade screwdriver to detach the retaining clips. Close the armrest and remove the front floor console upper end panel (1).

1. Remove the front floor console upper end panel (1), by lifting from the base of the trim panel to disengage.




2. Remove the rear floor console rear compartment (1).




3. Remove the end panel to front floor console retaining screws (1).
4. Remove the end panel and rear air outlet assembly (2).

Installation Procedure - Up to 17 Sept 2007




1. Install the end panel and rear air outlet assembly (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the end panel to front floor console retaining screws (1) and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in).





Note: The front floor console lower end panel (1) is retained by clips. Make sure all the clips are aligned with the front floor console and are engaged to avoid an induced rattle condition.

3. Install the front floor console lower end panel (1).




4. Install the rear floor console rear compartment (1).





Note: The front floor console upper end panel (1) is retained by clips. Make sure all the clips are aligned with the front floor console and are engaged to avoid an induced rattle condition.

5. Align the trim panel with the console end panel.
6. Push down on trim to engage retaining clips.

Removal Procedure - From 17 Sept 2007





Note: Raise the arm rest and from inside the front floor console compartment carefully lift upwards with a small flat blade screwdriver to detach the retaining clips. Lower the armrest.

1. Remove the front floor console upper trim panel (1) from the end panel (2).





Note: Carefully lift upwards with a small flat blade screwdriver to detach the retaining clips.

2. Remove the rear floor console lower trim panel (1) from the end panel (2).




3. Remove the end panel to front floor console retaining screws (1).
4. Remove the end panel (2) from the front floor console.

Installation Procedure - From 17 Sept 2007




1. Install the end panel (2) to the front floor console.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the end panel to front floor console retaining screws (1) and tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb in).





Note: The front floor console lower trim panel (1) is retained by clips. Make sure all the clips are aligned with the front floor console and are engaged to avoid an induced rattle condition.

3. Install the front floor console lower trim panel (1) to the end panel (2). Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.





Note: The front floor console upper trim panel (1) is retained by clips. Make sure all the clips are aligned with the front floor console and are engaged to avoid an induced rattle condition.

4. Align the upper trim panel (1) with the console end panel.
5. Push down on the upper trim panel (1) to engage retaining clips. Listen for an audible click to confirm fitting.
