Body Hinge Pillar Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front sill trim plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the two retaining torx screws (1) from the body hinge pillar trim (2).
4. Disengage the body hinge pillar trim pulling upwards and then rearwards.
5. Remove the body hinge pillar trim assembly.
6. If required, remove the two nut inserts.

Installation Procedure

Note: Ensure the body hinge pillar trim clip is correctly engaged in the A-pillar inner panel.

1. Engage body hinge pillar trim (2) into the A-pillar sheetmetal.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the two body hinge pillar trim (2) retaining torx screws (1) and tighten to 2.0 Nm (18 lb in).
3. Install the instrument panel outer trim cover. Refer to Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
4. Install the front sill trim plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
