Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement).
2. Remove the seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement).
3. Remove the centre seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement)
4. Remove the upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Remove the centre seat belt lower retaining bolt. Refer to Seat Belt Replacement - Center Rear (Seat Belt Replacement - Center Rear).




6. With a suitable tool carefully pry the rear lock striker trim panel (1) in the area of the rear lock striker trim panel to body retaining clips (2). Disengage the rear lock striker trim panel (1) with a suitable tool.
7. Remove the rear lock striker trim panel (1) from the vehicle.
8. Remove the child seat tether assemblies. Refer to Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement (Service and Repair).




9. Remove the rear window trim panel to body retaining clips (1).
10. At the centre pull the rear window shelf trim panel (2) forward and then lift to disengage the datum tower (3) from the retaining clip (4).
11. Slide the centre seat belt (5) through the centre seat belt slot and remove the rear window shelf trim panel (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the centre seat belt (5) by sliding the belt through the centre seat belt slot.

Important: Ensure that the datum tower (3) engages the retaining clip (4) correctly.


2. Push the rear window shelf trim panel (2) back into position while gently pressing down at the front of the rear window shelf trim panel to engage the datum tower (3) to the retaining clip (4).
3. Install the rear window trim panel to body retaining clips (1).
4. Install the child seat anchor assemblies (1). Refer to Child Restraint Tether Anchor Replacement (Service and Repair).




5. Align the clips 2 and install the rear lock striker trim panel (1) to the vehicle. Listen for an audible click to confirm correct fitment of the rear lock striker trim panel (1).
6. Install the centre seat belt lower retaining bolt. Refer to Front Seat Belt Replacement (Front Seat Belt Replacement).
7. Install the upper quarter trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the centre seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement (Rear Split Folding Seat Back Replacement).
9. Install the seat back assembly. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement).
10. Install the rear seat cushion.
