Crankshaft Sprocket Installation

Tools Required

EN 46111 Crankshaft Rotation Socket




1. Make sure the crankshaft sprocket is installed with the timing mark (1) visible.




2. Install the crankshaft sprocket (1) on to the nose of the crankshaft (2).
3. Align the keyway in the crankshaft sprocket (1) with the key in the crankshaft (2).
4. Slide the crankshaft sprocket on the crankshaft (2) nose until the crankshaft sprocket (1) contacts the step in the crankshaft (2).
5. If necessary, align the crankshaft sprocket to the stage one timing drive assembly position using the EN 46111. Refer to Camshaft Timing Drive Chain Alignment Diagram. Locations
