125. Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Installation




Automatic Transmission Flex Plate Installation

Special Tools
* EN 46106 - Engine Flywheel Holding Tool
* J 45059 - Angle Meter
For equivalent regional tools, refer to Special Tools (Special Tools).




1. Install the EN 46106 - tool (1).




2. Place the automatic transmission flex plate (2) in position.
3. Install 2 NEW automatic transmission flex plate to crankshaft retaining bolts (1) in location at the top and bottom of the automatic transmission flex plate (2) bolt pattern allowing the automatic transmission flex plate (2) to hang in position.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

4. Install the remaining NEW automatic transmission flex plate to crankshaft retaining bolts (1) and tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).
Tighten the bolts an additional 45 degrees using the J 45059 - meter.
